Our family fell in love with the Basque country, people and especially with its unique and authentic gastronomy and wonderful pastries.

Basque pastries are pure, simple and authentic. But also refined and elegant using the intrinsic flavors & structure of high quality ingredients to their fullest.

We founded Madame Charlie to share our passion for Basque pastries with Amsterdam and beyond.

Basque burnt cheesecake

Our Pastries

We are known for our version of the world famous burnt cheesecake from of La Viña - San Sebastian, but specialise in many Basque pastry delicacies.

Think of ... Dark rum-powered gâteau basque, pistacho muxus, a patxaran-marmalade pantxineta or plain, yet delicious macarons from Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
